Leaving Playas del Coco and our PADI training behind we are heading down to the south of the country to house sit in Ojochal before flying out to Vancouver next month. Our journey south was scheduled to take 13 hours on the bus, even though the total distance was a little over 350km the broken road surfaces and unreliable public transport network meant additional travel time. Bus journeys can often be laborious tasks so we decided to break up the travelling and stop in to see our good friend Andrés in Monteverde.

We were very kindly invited to stay at the family home up in the cloud forest, waking up with stunning views out over the surrounding micro-climate and down to the pacific was incredible. We spent the following day horse riding, hiking and relaxing in the hammocks on the balcony. Pura Vida. Thank you to Andrés and his family for taking such great care of us.
